Soccer Game Preview: Timberline vs. Tumwater

The Timberline Blazers will head out on the road to face off against the Tumwater Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Timberline will be strutting in after a win while Tumwater will be coming in after a defeat.

Timberline will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Yelm on Tuesday. Timberline's defense stepped up to hand Yelm a 4-0 shutout. The Blazers haven't had any issues with the Tornados recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Tumwater didn't have quite enough to beat Capital on Tuesday and fell 2-1.

Tumwater's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Timberline, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Everything went Timberline's way against Tumwater in their previous matchup back in March of 2015, as Timberline made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Timberline since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
