Basketball Game Preview: Opp Bobcats vs. Bullock County Hornets

The Opp Bobcats will challenge the Bullock County Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Saturday, Opp came up short against Pike County and fell 59-52. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Opp had strong showings from DJ Hines, who posted 13 points along with eight boards and six assists, and Jeshurun Crittenden, who had ten points in addition to five rebounds and five blocks. Hines is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 11 games he's played. Brandyn Washington was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, Bullock County came tearing into Monday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Gamecocks 54-40.

Bullock County pushed their record up to 7-12 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Opp, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.
