College Park Academy suffers fourth straight loss at home

This season hasn't been kind to College Park Academy, who are still winless after their eighth matchup. They took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Friendly on Thursday.
Friendly's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Khadir Johnson led the charge by scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Johnson pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ammanuel Bisrat, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
College Park Academy bumped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Friendly, their win ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. College Park Academy will square off against Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight two weeks ago. Friendly's road trip will continue as they head out to face Suitland at 2:45 p.m. on January 6th. One thing working in Suitland's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
