Baseball Game Preview: Edgerton Bulldogs vs. Evergreen Vikings

The Edgerton Bulldogs will challenge the Evergreen Vikings at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Edgerton is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since April 5, 2024 on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Ayersville, sneaking past 4-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

The team relied heavily on Cory Herman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kellen Sanchez, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Meanwhile, Evergreen made easy work of Swanton on Thursday and carried off a 7-1 victory.

The win got Evergreen back to even at 2-2. As for Edgerton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Edgerton was able to grind out a solid win over Evergreen in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 7-3. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
