Soccer Game Preview: Courtland vs. Monacan

Courtland has won eight straight games at home, while Monacan has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Cougars will host the Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Courtland is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 5-2 margin over Patrick Henry. Courtland might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Monacan was able to grind out a solid win over Chancellor on Friday, taking the game 3-1.

Courtland is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 50 goals over those 12 matches. As for Monacan, their win bumped their record up to 12-4-1.

Courtland came out on top in a nail-biter against Monacan when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Chiefs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
