Baseball Recap: Corpus Christi Moody Takes a Loss

Corpus Christi Moody lost a heartbreaker to King when they met back in March of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Monday. The Corpus Christi Moody Trojans fell just short of the King Mustangs by a score of 5-3. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Corpus Christi Moody saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ernesto Gonzalez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Eragon Padron also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Corpus Christi Moody's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for King, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8-1.

Coincidentally, Corpus Christi Moody and King will both be playing Carroll the next time they take the field. King will host Carroll at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Corpus Christi Moody will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
