Soccer Recap: North Monterey County Comes Up Short

North Monterey County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Watsonville Wildcatz. The Condors were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcatz from their previous meeting back in December of 2022.

North Monterey County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Watsonville, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Monterey County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gonzales at 5:45 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Watsonville also won't see the pitch for a while: their next match is against Archbishop Mitty at 10:00 a.m. on January 4, 2025.
