Volleyball Recap: Clearfield Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Clearfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Roy Royals 3-0 on Thursday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Clearfield never let Roy on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 28-26, 25-21.

Gabe Christensen paced Clearfield's offense, picking up ten kills. Christensen got some help from Max Bohman and his 25 assists. Brenden Toone controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Clearfield's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-11. As for Roy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Clearfield will welcome Bountiful at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Roy, they will challenge Bear River at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
