Football Recap: Rabun County's Rushing Attack Does It Again + How To Watch

Rabun County's game on Friday was all tied up 28-28 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 49-42 win over the Dalton Catamounts. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Catamounts are ranked 210th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Among those leading the charge was Ty Truelove, who threw for 217 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 57 yards. Lake Evans was in the mix as well, providing Rabun County with two scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Rabun County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 265 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 158 rushing yards in 12 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Dalton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caine Woods threw for 328 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 73 yards and one TD on only nine carries. With that strong performance, Woods is now averaging an impressive 304.8 passing yards per game. Havyn Searels was Woods' top target, picking up 109 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Rabun County's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Dalton, their record now sits at 0-4.

Rabun County has already played their next contest, a 14-3 win against Bremen on the 12th. As for Dalton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 45-14 defeat against Cartersville on the 12th.
