Volleyball Preview: Bellevue Wolverines vs. North Creek Jaguars

After both having extra time off, the Bellevue Wolverines and the North Creek Jaguars will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bellevue will be strutting in after a win while North Creek will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Wednesday, Bellevue had just enough and edged Eastlake out 3-2.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (93-92) Bellevue actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 12-25, 25-16, 25-18, 15-25, 15-9.

Bellevue can attribute much of their success to Haiden Adam, who had 15 digs. Adam has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Niah Pham, who had four digs and two aces.

Meanwhile, North Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Skyline. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Jaguars have suffered against the Spartans since October 3, 2017.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-8, 25-15.

Bellevue is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for North Creek, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-4.
