Basketball Game Preview: Beech Buccaneers vs. Gallatin Green Wave

Beech has gone 8-2 against Gallatin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Beech Buccaneers will square off against the Gallatin Green Wave at 6:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Tuesday, Beech came up short against Mount Juliet and fell 55-46.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Dani James, who posted 16 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (two). Tia Nix was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, Gallatin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Mount Juliet 62-22. While losing is never fun, the Green Wave can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 268th, while the Golden Bears are ranked 108th).

Beech's record now sits at 12-9. As for Gallatin, their record now sits at 4-13.

Beech beat Gallatin 58-45 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Beech since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
