Softball Recap: Argonaut's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Argonaut waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 19-4 margin over the Rosemont Wolverines. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-4 back in April.

Hailey Dewald was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Argonaut got a massive performance out of Bailey Baker, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most runs Baker has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Bri Bowers, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Argonaut was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rosemont only posted a batting average of .294.

Argonaut's record is now 20-5. As for Rosemont, they dropped their record down to 5-18-1 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Argonaut is set to take on their familiar foe Amador at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Rosemont will challenge rival Bradshaw Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
