Basketball Recap: Floyd Takes a Loss

Floyd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 52-14 loss at the hands of the Melrose Buffaloes. The Broncos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-4.

Klowie Bustamante was Floyd's leading scorer, having posted five points. Lillie Bustamante held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Floyd's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Melrose, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.

Floyd has already played their next contest, a 56-11 loss against Dora on the 4th. As for Melrose, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-32 win against Elida on the 4th.
