Baseball Recap: O'bryant Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

While O'Bryant's victory against Brighton/Boston Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bengals 6-5. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bengals: they've now won three in a row.

O'Bryant got a great performance from Airon Mercedes Encarnacion as he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits.

On the hitting side, O'Bryant's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Yordani Galvan Paulino, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

O'Bryant pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of three runs across that stretch. As for Brighton/Boston Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
