Penns Manor extended the longest winning streak in Heritage this week by beating Homer-Center, 48-15. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Comets.
Penns Manor moved up to 213 from 247 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Bill Packer's team was able to make move up by besting the Wildcats 48-15.
Danny Ferens was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 180 yards as the Comets fell to Portage. Teammate Cody Bytner added to the ground attack by rushing for 164 yards.
Robinson was the best wideout in Heritage this week as the Bobcats lost to the Mustangs. Robinson racked up six receptions for 93 yards. Anthony Faulk helped Blairsville's passing attack out by catching two balls for 70 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Scott Thompson of Blairsville is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1281. He has also thrown 11 touchdowns. On the ground, Penns Manor's Ferens has rushed for 1492 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Adam Polites. The Northern Cambria star has 17 catches for 472 yards.
The Comets took down Homer-Center 48-15 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ferens in the win.
