Basketball Recap: Isabella Stout Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Woodlan

Bluffton won the last time they faced Woodlan and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bluffton Tigers took down the Woodlan Warriors 67-52. The Tigers pushed the score to 52-31 by the end of the third, a deficit the Warriors cut but never quite recovered from.

Bluffton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isabella Stout out in front who went 7 of 17 on her way to 23 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Konley Ault, who posted 17 points.

Woodlan's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Alyssa Anderson, who went 8 for 16 en route to 16 points along with five rebounds and four blocks, and Brooke Kneubuhler, who had 17 points in addition to seven assists and five boards. Anderson has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Reagan Widenhoefer was another key player, putting up seven points and five boards.

The victory made it two in a row for Bluffton and bumps their season record up to 15-2. As for Woodlan, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Bluffton will be playing at home against Jay County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bluffton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 70.5 points per game this season. As for Woodlan, they will head out to face off against Fort Wayne Bishop Luers at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st.
