Softball Recap: Gray-New Gloucester Comes Up Short

Gray-New Gloucester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 8-4 to the Spruce Mountain Phoenix. That's two games in a row now that the Patriots have lost by exactly four runs.

Gray-New Gloucester's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Gray-New Gloucester will be playing at home against Morse at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Patriots their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Spruce Mountain, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mount Abram at 1:00 p.m. on the 23rd. This will also be the Phoenix's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
