Basketball Recap: Baldwin Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Baldwin and McPherson squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Baldwin had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 60-59 to the McPherson Bullpups. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 62-49 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Despite the loss, Baldwin still got an impressive performance from Cooper Carr, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and ten boards. Carr's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Leo Schoenberger, who posted 14 points and five rebounds.

Baldwin's defeat dropped their record down to 18-5. As for McPherson, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

Baldwin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McPherson, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-50 victory against Ottawa on the 14th.
