Baseball Recap: Chestnut Ridge Takes a Loss

Chestnut Ridge lost against Somerset back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chestnut Ridge saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kole Clark, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Chestnut Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Somerset, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-2.

Looking ahead, Chestnut Ridge will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Glendale at 1:00 p.m. The Lions are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. Somerset does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
