Basketball Game Preview: Warren County Screaming Devils vs. Randolph-Clay Red Devils

The Warren County Screaming Devils are taking a road trip to square off against the Randolph-Clay Red Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Warren County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They took down Irwin County 69-50. Given the Screaming Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Indians are ranked 428th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Randolph-Clay). They really took it to Twiggs County for the full four quarters, racking up an 85-44 victory. The win was nothing new for the Red Devils as they're now sitting on 15 straight.

Randolph-Clay pushed their record up to 26-2 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.1 points over those games. As for Warren County, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.
