Volleyball Game Preview: West Cabarrus Wolverines vs. Mount Pleasant Tigers

West Cabarrus is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Sunday. After both having extra time off, they and the Mount Pleasant Tigers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 2:00 p.m. West Cabarrus, yet to win a game, are hoping to taste some of the success that has characterized Mount Pleasant's (thus far) undefeated season.

Back in April, West Cabarrus didn't have quite enough to beat Hickory Ridge and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Mount Pleasant sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Hickory Ridge on Saturday.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Mount Pleasant who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-20, 16-25, 15-8.

West Cabarrus' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mount Pleasant, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

West Cabarrus came up short against Mount Pleasant in their previous meeting back in April, falling 2-0. Can the Wolverines avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
