Meanwhile, Jefferson came up short against El Paso on Friday, falling 51-27.

Canutillo's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Jefferson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.
