It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bay Springs had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Leflore County Tigers, sneaking past 45-42. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Leflore County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Emoni Journey, who posted 12 points and eight rebounds. Jeremy Gilbert was another key player, putting up eight points along with eight boards and five assists.

Bay Springs' victory bumped their record up to 27-5. As for Leflore County, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 22-8 record.

Bay Springs has already played their next match, a 46-44 win against Pelahatchie on the 1st. Leflore County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
