Baseball Recap: Normandy Comes Up Short

Normandy came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-2 to the Lakewood Rangers. The defeat continues a trend for the Invaders in their meetings with the Rangers: they've now lost five in a row.

Normandy's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lakewood, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Normandy will venture away from home to square off against Elyria at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lakewood, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Westlake at 5:00 p.m. on the 28th.
