Recap: Santa Rosa Warriors vs. IDEA Weslaco Pike Mavericks
The Santa Rosa Warriors waltzed into their match on Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They came out on top against IDEA Weslaco Pike by a score of 63-53. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Santa Rosa also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Santa Rosa got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was David De La Cruz out in front who scored 14 points. Randy Flores was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Santa Rosa pushed their record up to 15-12 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 86.4 points per game. As for IDEA Weslaco Pike, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.
Santa Rosa will head out on the road to square off against Rio Hondo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Rio Hondo's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches. As for IDEA Weslaco Pike, they will be playing at home against IDEA Riverview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. IDEA Riverview comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
