Basketball Recap: Northampton Takes a Loss

Northampton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 55-18 loss at the hands of the Arcadia Firebirds. The Yellowjackets were down 47-14 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

When it comes to explaining why Northampton lost, don't look at Ortavia Rogers. Despite the final result, she posted nine points. That was a full 50% of Northampton's points, marking the third time in a row Rogers has scored more than a third of the team's points.

Northampton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Arcadia, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Northampton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Arcadia, they will venture away from home to take on John Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on February 25th.
