Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Loss Ends Firth's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Firth can now relate to. They fell just short of the Kellogg Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

Leading Kellogg to victory were Jordyn Stutzke and Bella Schillereff. Stutzke had 34 digs and three assists, while Schillereff had 14 digs and one assist. With that strong performance, Stutzke is now averaging an impressive 10.8 digs per game.

Firth moved to 20-8 with that defeat, which also ended their six-match winning streak. As for Kellogg, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 21-1.

Coming up, Firth will challenge Malad at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Kellogg, they will square off against Melba at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
