Baseball Game Preview: Workman Lobos vs. Ganesha Giants

Workman hasn't had much luck against Ganesha recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Workman Lobos will face off against the Ganesha Giants at 3:30 p.m. Workman has given up an average of 13.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Workman is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 21st straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They lost 13-3 to Baldwin Park.

Meanwhile, Ganesha fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Arcadia on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Apaches by a score of 3-1. The game marked the Giants' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Ganesha's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for Workman, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Workman came up short against Ganesha when the teams last played back in March of 2018, falling 9-5. Can Workman avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
