Baseball Recap: Manteno Takes a Loss

Manteno lost against Tinley Park back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers fell just short of the Titans by a score of 5-4. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Manteno saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Harrod, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Harrod also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Manteno's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Tinley Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manteno will face off against Reed-Custer at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers are facing the Comets at the right time seeing as the Comets are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Tinley Park, they will square off against Oak Forest at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
