Recap: Jimtown Jimmies vs. Goshen RedHawks
There's no place like home for the Jimtown Jimmies, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Goshen by a score of 47-38 on Tuesday. For Jimtown, this counts as revenge for the 51-50 defeat Goshen walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Leading Jimtown to victory were Bishop Williams and Dylan Fey. Williams scored 12 points along with six rebounds, while Fey scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. Javen Jackson was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Goshen lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Levi Sawatzky, who scored 15 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Cline, who scored 11 points along with six steals.
Jimtown pushed their record up to 4-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Goshen, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jimtown will take on South Bend Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Bend Washington is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Goshen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against NorthWood at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. NorthWood is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
