Basketball Recap: South Plaquemines Takes a Loss

South Plaquemines was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the St. Charles Catholic Comets, falling 75-29. The Hurricanes lost against the Comets in their previous head to head back in February of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 49-44 score last time.

South Plaquemines' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for St. Charles Catholic, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

South Plaquemines will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Thomas Jefferson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Charles Catholic, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against South Lafourche at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Lafourche will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something St. Charles Catholic surely won't give up without a fight.
