Basketball Game Preview: Scott Bulldogs vs. Ottawa Hills Green Bears

The Scott Bulldogs just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Ottawa Hills Green Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Scott is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Woodward, posting a 65-7 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, Ottawa Hills came up short against Toledo Christian on Friday and fell 64-55.

Despite the loss, Ottawa Hills saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kendell Skiver almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Skiver has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Vanslooten, who posted ten points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Even though they lost, Ottawa Hills smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.

Ottawa Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Scott, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-3.

Everything came up roses for Scott against Ottawa Hills when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 66-30 win. In that game, Scott amassed a halftime lead of 38-10, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
