Softball Recap: Language & Tech Comes Up Short

Language & Tech extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-6 in the process. They came up short against the Bathgate Bulldogs, falling 19-9. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Bathgate this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-7 on April 1st.

As for Bathgate, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 6-0. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won four matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

For Bathgate's part, Heily Matos was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Matos is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Jaelyn Falu, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Coincidentally, Language & Tech and Bathgate will both be playing Morrisania the next time they take the field. Language & Tech will head out to face Morrisania at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Bathgate will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
