Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heritage Prep). They took down the Landmark Christian Patriots 50-36 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Praetorians sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Leading Heritage Prep to victory were Grace Isnord and Nikiya Ducasse-Gross. Isnord went 11 of 21 en route to 24 points in addition to eight steals and six assists, while Ducasse-Gross went 7 for 14 on her way to 14 points along with six boards and six steals. Isnord has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Carlynn John was another key player, putting up six points and four steals.
They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Heritage Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Heritage Prep is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
