Volleyball Recap: Allegany Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Hancock last Wednesday, Allegany came back down to earth. The Campers lost 3-0 to the Southern Rams on Wednesday. The Campers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

While Allegany had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-21, 25-20.

Southern found their leader in sophomore Lea Custer, who had nine digs and one assist. Kaitlyn Sylvania also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Allegany has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Southern, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-9-1.

Allegany has already played their next contest (against Fort Hill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Southern, they will host East Hardy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
