Baseball Recap: Central Magnet Comes Up Short

If Central Magnet was feeling good fresh off their 11-4 takedown of Hubbard on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Central Magnet fell just short of the Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains by a score of 13-12 on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (11), Central Magnet still had to take the loss.

Central Magnet dropped their record down to 11-14 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Hopewell-Loudon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Central Magnet will venture away from home to square off against DeKalb County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hopewell-Loudon, they will challenge Danbury at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Chieftains' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
