Volleyball Game Preview: Kirby Prep Griffins vs. Pajaro Valley Grizzlies

The Kirby Prep Griffins will head out on the road to challenge the Pajaro Valley Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kirby Prep is coming into the match on a 16-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Kirby Prep lost 3-0 to Watsonville on Thursday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Griffins haven't been shut out since back in March.

While Kirby Prep ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Pajaro Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Watsonville.

Pajaro Valley took Watsonville into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-12, 26-28, 22-25, 15-11.

Pajaro Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Kirby Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
