Basketball Recap: Avi Askenazi Key Part of a Team Effort in Wolves Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fuchs Mizrachi, Denver Academy of Torah was happy to have turned things around on Sunday. They secured a 45-40 W over the Columbus Torah Academy Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-47 last Thursday.

Denver Academy of Torah got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Avi Askenazi out in front who posted 11 points and five boards. Daniel Fiedler was another key player, going 5 for 9 on his way to 10 points and five rebounds.

Denver Academy of Torah's record is now 9-5. As for Columbus Torah Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Denver Academy of Torah will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Denver Waldorf at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th.
