Basketball Game Preview: Camden County Bruins vs. Kinston Vikings

The Camden County Bruins are taking a road trip to take on the Kinston Vikings at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

While Camden County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They enjoyed a cozy 55-37 win over Gates County two weeks ago.

Xzavior Wiggins was his usual excellent self, putting up 28 points and three steals. The matchup was his 12th in a row with at least ten points. Brandon Pryer was another key player, posting 11 points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Kinston had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 72-42 victory over the Blue Devils. That looming 72-42 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Vikings yet this season.

Camden County's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Kinston, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
