Liberty entered their tilt with Pittsburg on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Pirates. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on Tuesday.

Chayce Formosa spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on seven hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Rane Miller was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Liberty's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Pittsburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-5.

Coming up, Liberty will challenge Freedom at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 4, the Falcons 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Pittsburg, they will square off against Deer Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
