Football Recap: Piner Takes a Loss

Piner fell victim to Windsor and their airtight defense on Monday. They were beaten by the Jaguars 32-0. While losing is never fun, the Prospectors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 655th, while the Jaguars are ranked 179th).

Piner's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Windsor, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Piner will take on rival Santa Rosa at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Windsor is set to challenge their familiar foe Analy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Jaguars 5.6, the Tigers 14.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
