Volleyball Game Preview: Cromwell Panthers vs. North Branford Thunderbirds + Official Tickets

Cromwell is 1-9 against North Branford since October of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Panthers will face off against the Thunderbirds at 6:00 p.m. Cromwell will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Cromwell is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Lyman Memorial.

Meanwhile, North Branford didn't have quite enough to beat Cromwell two weeks ago and fell 3-2. While the Thunderbirds didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 25-17 in the first set.

North Branford actually scored more points across those five sets (109-108), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-23, 24-26, 25-20, 17-15.

Cromwell's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for North Branford, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.

Cromwell skirted past North Branford 3-2 when the teams last played two weeks ago. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Thunderbirds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
