Baseball Recap: Malcolm Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Malcolm barely beat Wahoo/Bishop Neumann the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Clippers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Warriors a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. The Clippers have beaten the Warriors the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warriors has come to flipping the script.

Mason Wisnieski made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carson Frank, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Chase Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Malcolm always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wahoo/Bishop Neumann only posted an OBP of .111.

Malcolm's win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.7 runs. As for Wahoo/Bishop Neumann, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-8 record.
