Softball Game Preview: Pottsgrove Falcons vs. Phoenixville Phantoms

Pottsgrove hasn't had much luck against Phoenixville recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Pottsgrove will square off against Phoenixville at 4:00 p.m.

Pottsgrove lost 10-2 to Upper Merion Area on Friday. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Phoenixville). They were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over Pope John Paul II on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Phoenixville now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Pottsgrove, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Pottsgrove was able to grind out a solid victory over Phoenixville when the teams last played back in May of 2023, winning 8-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pottsgrove since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
