Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Noble & Greenough). They blew past the Thayer Academy Tigers 11-1 on Friday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Luke Leger made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.
In other batting news, Sean Watts was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Mac Bianchi, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Noble & Greenough's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2.
