Softball Recap: Houghton Lake Takes a Loss

Houghton Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 17-4 to the Charlevoix Rayders.

Jayden Peel made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Megan Houserman, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Houghton Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Charlevoix, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Houghton Lake will head out on the road to face off against Lake City at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Bobcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Charlevoix, they will challenge Ellsworth at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
