Softball Recap: Belchertown Comes Up Short

Belchertown made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Pope Francis Prep, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Orioles fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 9-7 on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Orioles in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost five in a row.

Belchertown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Pope Francis Prep, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Coming up, Belchertown will host Sabis International at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pope Francis Prep, they will head out on the road to take on Springfield Renaissance at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
