Football Preview: Harding Skippers vs. Mathews Mustangs
The Harding Skippers will take on the Mathews Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harding is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 32.7 points per game this season.
Harding took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past St. John 43-13 at home. Considering the Skippers have won four matches by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Harding can attribute much of their success to Brady Lawson, who threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 77 yards. The dominant performance gave Lawson a new career-high in rushing yards. Yomar Castellano also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Meanwhile, Mathews was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 50-0 defeat at the hands of Pymatuning Valley. The game marked the first time this season in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.
Harding now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Mathews, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
