Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only George Stevens Academy walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Woodland Dragons on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The victory didn't come easy: Woodland scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-27, 25-19, 25-22.

Taylor Grego paced George Stevens Academy's offense, picking up 14 kills. Grego got some help from Acadia Simmons and her 17 assists. Finally, Layla Hutchins kept George Stevens Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with seven blocks.

George Stevens Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Woodland, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 12-4.

George Stevens Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Narraguagus on the 1st. Woodland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
