George Washington entered their tilt with Bassett on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Bassett Bengals by a score of 64-57. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Bengals are ranked 324th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bassett lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Isaiah Perkins, who posted 25 points. Another player making a difference was David Cook, who earned 15 points.

George Washington's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-1. As for Bassett, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
